GPS NATIONAL PRESS RELEASE - May 18, 2009

The Germany Philatelic Society is pleased to announce that two of their members’ exhibits earned ‘Large Gold’ Awards at NAPOSTA 2009 which took place at Essen, Germany, May 6-10, 2009, along with the European IBRA Exhibition (held only every ten years) & the tri-annual German-American Salon.

Of the 1270 frames of exhibits by 168 exhibitors at NAPOSTA 2009, only a total of eleven ‘Large Gold’ Medals were presented.

In addition, GPS Handbook #12.. From Hinrichsen to Krag: The Experimental and Early Machine Postmarks of Germany (1866 until 1906) by Jerry H. Miller earned a ‘Large Vermeil’ in the literature competition.
