The Germany Philatelic Society is pleased to announce that three of their members took top awards at COLOPEX 2009 which took place at Columbus, Ohio, February 2-8, 2009, the site of the GPS annual convention. Miller COLOPEX Show Grand Award GPS ‘President’s Award’ APS & GPS Gold Awards Swiss Zeppelin Mail to the Americas 1930-1937 (7 frames) by Michael Peter GPS ‘C.H. Hunt Award’ (GPS Reserve Grand Award) Collectors Club of Chicago Exhibitor’s Award APS & GPS Gold Awards Military and Administrative Mail of the Western Allies in Germany During and After World War II (10 frames) by Alfred Kugel Herman L. Halle Commemorative Award APS & GPS Vermeil Awards Next year’s GPS Convention will take place at BALPEX, Baltimore, Maryland, between September 3-5, 2010.
